This collection of interview responses by over 100 authors, who write about their craft, is not only fascinating, it may be a first. There are numerous nuggets here and it amounts to a large scale seminar in writing techniques, in book form. As they also talk about their early experiences and motivations, as well as hobbies and many other topics, there is much to delve into here. Highly recommendable.
Why take advice from an author when you can take advice from a hundred?
It's also good to see that the very best of them can struggle to get words on the page/end up throwing half of it straight in the bin.
All in all, the perfect book for any writer (or aspiring writer) - with the fundamental message shining through - You Are Not Alone!
I loved reading about all the different authors and their varied experiences.
Definitely worth a read! Very interesting as an aspiring author myself.
This is an unusual book - 100 interviews with writers, who talk expansively of their techniques, motivations, early experiences and, in fact, anything else that explains how, why, where and when they write books. Each one is fascinating and, taken together, this venture is refreshingly novel. I think it should attract a wide readership among would-be scribblers, authors, students and many readers.
