The Children of the Tribes by Eva Wasserman Margolis is divided into sections where a child describes what it is like to belong to a specific tribe of people. For example, what is it like to work extremely hard for everything or have everything given to you? What is it like to be raised in a family that values rules and religion? How do we answer questions about how and why the world works the way it does? Where does everything come from? Margolis helps us discover why sharing and giving to those in need is so important and why living in peace and harmony with other cultures and nature is essential. Read more to discover what makes the tribes of people so different and what can bring them together positively. The Children of the Tribes by Eva Wasserman Margolis is an educational story intended for children yet can be enjoyed even by adults. Each character is from a different place or walk of life. They discuss what it’s like to live the way they do and why certain aspects of their life are fundamental to them. At the end of each section is a short series of questions that help us understand more about a specific tribe by answering how they think or feel about what we learned in the chapter. I love the level of description and insight into the different groups of people that Margolis weaves through every section. I enjoyed reading and learning new things about other cultures, and I do not doubt that future readers will feel the same way. From Readers Favorite
