I absolutely love this book. It is well written, smooth flowing and easy to read. It kept me captivated from the first page to the last. The characters were easy to love or hate and were well developed. The emotions the characters felt and the experiences they went through were very well depictive. Everything was described so vividly I could picture every scene unfolding right in front of my eyes.

I fell in love with Julie right away. She is a hard working, independent woman. She has lost so much in life, she keeps everyone, especially men, at arm's length. Her motto is you can't lose what you don't have. After an event her marketing company is hosting at the club of one of their clients, Julie lays eyes on Brett. Everyone else seems to diappear, noises fade into the background, and she has tunnel vision for Brett. Will she be able to get past her insecurities and let him in?

Brett has a reputation. He is a bartender at club, gets his on every day, and is known for one night stands. When he sees Julie, he is spellbound. He knows there is something special about her but he doesn't know what it could be. Will he be able to get past his insecurites about a long term relationship after being burned by his ex-wife.

Once I started the book I couldn't put it down. It is fast paced and took several unexpected twists and turns. This is the first book I read by this author and I look forward to reading more. I felt so many emotions while reading this book. I was happy, sad, frustrated, angry, and excited. I even shed a few tears at some of the extremely emotional parts. I highly recommend this book to those who love a good romance novel. 

I have never read anything by this author, and it blew me away!! Such a gripping story about love and second chances. Brett and Julie's love story is breathtaking from the get-go. Both falling in love despite trying to keep walls up and keep things casual. Hurt feelings and betrayal lead to them breaking apart and being miserable without each other. What transpires while they are apart leads to a major choice...Julie can accept what has happened and forgive Brett, or she must move on without him and move on with her life. Can Julie forgive something that is so life changing and will change their relationship forever? So many other characters in this book play pivotal roles in their relationship...and they could all probably use a book of their own!! I could not put this book down once I started reading it. So many emotions...such a great read!!
