I received this book for an honest review.
The story line is light and moves along quite quickly, the characters are interesting and you get a little bit of insight into each one. I found the romance portion to be subtle and take its "natural" course, which is nice and not at all common in romance novels. I found the dialogue between the main characters fascinating and quirky. Overall, it was a quick, pleasant read.

I received this book in return for an honest review, so here goes!
This book is a little different than your usual romance story, which makes for a genuine read and an authentic story line. The book is easy to follows, with short chapters and intriguing character development. I thoroughly enjoyed reading & learning about each character and their lives in this romance book.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a short, pleasurable read about the daily romance of two regular people and their lives.

If you want a sitting-on-the-edge-of-your-seat/nail-biting thriller, don't read "A Little North of Here."
If you want a deep, intense story with convoluted plot line and intense character changes, don't read "A Little North of Here."
If you want a DELIGHTFUL book, written in a PLEASANT staccato style, has short chapters, a cast of FUN and QUIRKY characters, is set in Michigan (upper and lower), a book that is as LIGHT, GENTLE, and SWEET as a soft summer's breeze then read P.D. Quidson's, "A Little North of Here."
From the outset when Michele Martin meets her neighbor Don Breely, snoring and wearing a loin cloth, to the grand finale of steamed windows, I was enchanted.
The book itself is a quick enough read (a couple hours in one sitting) and a fun enough read, that I recommend, rather than me blather on about it, you simply read it.
