I'm almost sorry that I gave the previous books in this series 5 stars, because it leaves me nowhere further up to go. If the previous books were beautifully-crafted, spellbinding mysteries, this is an intense, gut-wrenching journey into the depths of pain, fear and grief. Sounds heavy, but by now I trust Ms Lampe to take the reader through such an ordeal into the light of day again, and this story is rich and satisfying, An excellent tale indeed.
OMG! Where do I even start? Ms. Lampe grips you from the start and never lets go. The relationship between Caitlin and Timber is spellbinding - at turns tender, heart-wrenching, passionate and infinitely real. You read this book and you "know" in your heart that they live and breathe and can not possibly be fictional characters. It is storytelling at its best and should not be missed!
