The first book in the Horn Series. A modern Cinderella story set against the elegant backdrop of Geneva, Switzerland. Vera Sava, an Albanian medical student, escapes a scandal that threatens to land her in prison for embezzlement, and drops her on the doorsteps of wealthy American financier, Sebastian Horn. As their worlds collide, their attraction for each other sets them on a dangerous course that could ruin them both.
She thought her life fell apart when she found her father hanging from the exposed pipes in his office. That was only the beginning. Six long years later, hiding in shadows and fake identities have taken a toll on her. But she has to keep moving. She doesn’t know what lengths the Albanian authorities will go to to find her. Homeless and practically destitute after her Swiss visa expires, the only employment she can find is working as a housekeeper on a country estate.
Sebastian Horn may be the heir to a legendary banking fortune, and currently the most eligible bachelor in the western hemisphere, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t wrestling with his own demons. After having lost his beautiful, young wife in a terrible car accident, he’s pretty much decided that life is best lived under the comforting influence of booze and pills. Crippled spiritually and physically, he’s almost relieved when he discovers that someone is trying to kill him.
Dangelico’s debut romance hums along at a brisk pace thanks to a pair of engaging leads. Vera is an intelligent, sympathetic heroine who’s wary of falling in love again after a betrayal by a man who claimed to love her. Sebastian is tremendously successful, but neither his looks nor his tremendous wealth can shield him from life’s pain. Dangelico does a fine job of showing how the initial antagonism between them gradually evolves into a cautious, but fiery, romance that crackles with erotic tension. They’re surrounded by a well-drawn cast of supporting characters...A fast-paced, erotic tale."
"I loved A Million Different Ways. Loved. It. How's that for a review? It's certainly how I truly felt about this great new entry into the world of romance fiction. Author P. Dangelico has done a fantastic job in creating characters that her readers will care about, connect with, and continue to think of long after the last words are read. If that's not a hallmark of a truly great author, I don't know what is. This story is romantic, exciting and suspenseful, and would appeal to any reader who loves this type of book, or anyone looking for a great work of fiction in general. I highly recommend A Million Different Ways, and certainly look forward to reading more from the very promising new author, P. Dangelico, in the near future!"
"I admit, at first glance on reading the jacket cover, I thought this book had leanings towards being another version of 50 Shades of Grey. I am glad I didn't let that judgment stop me from reading and giving this book of a chance; it is nothing like that and is beautifully written. The mystery and danger really propel the book and keep you hooked into the story being told. P. Dangelico has successfully married mystery, suspense and romance together into an exciting and enjoyable story. I would highly recommend reading this book; you will enjoy every page."
