It is 1956, and not a good year for fourteen-year-old honor student Paula Levy. Although she’s discovered rock & roll -- and has started hanging out with a “cool” girl -- it must be kept a big secret, because her parents would be furious if they found out that she was spending her afternoons smoking cigarettes and listening to rock & roll records.
