Plot: The majority of the plot is well thought out, spanning several decades, and seamlessly combining history with fiction. The novel could be strengthened by a revision focus on the believability of coincidences.
Prose: With multiple points of view frequently alternating person and location in the same scene, Hart writes this storyline seamlessly without confusing the reader, making it clear what is happening in multiple locations at the same time, and keeping readers drawn into the story. The story is fast-paced but not rushed, with just the right amount of detail included.
Originality: Although there are many stories out there with deranged serial killers obsessing over infatuation for one individual, and Nazi sympathizers that are still living in the shadows of the world, as well as those looking to bring them to justice, this story has the unique twist of combining the two, and creating a story that spans generations and culminates in parallel, and occasionally crossing, stories coming to a head in modern times.
Character Development: The characters overall were very well fleshed out as individuals with unique personalities.
