Tense book that recalls Michael Crichton at his best.
In science fiction novels, technological and medical advances often have a hidden cost. People have to weigh their options and make tough decisions. Enter Maggie and Simon, one person who had elected to accept an advance and another who hasn't. Throw in a murder, and this book turns from science fiction into thriller. This imaginary world is full of very high stakes, each competing with each other from page to page. I think I most appreciated the author's crisp writing style and how he made his characters highly dimensional and complex. This is definitely a tense book.
