Awaken the Dawn is a captivating mystery with sparkling writing and high stakes.
Prose: Popa's prose is smart, arresting, and tightly woven. The tension kicks off in the opening pages and doesn't let up, keeping readers riveted to the page as the protagonists follow clues to uncover the truth.
Originality: Popa seamlessly blends international intrigue, criminal machinations, and family secrets to captivating effect.
Character/Execution: Kat is a relatable lead character who finds herself both grappling with profound loss and regret and ensnared in a dangerous web. Maksim is equally compelling; readers will relish witnessing their armor fall away and romance begin to blossom.
