Fast-paced with a strong fast moving plot. The content is intense but it adds an edge of realism to an already effective tone of war and espionage. A great first novel!

Black Hawk Day Rewind by Dominick Fencer and Baiban Nighthawk, is an explosive novel to awaken the senses. With CIA and double-crossing agents to drug smuggling and experiments, this book has it all. Mark Savannah is the lead character of whom has outgrown his uses as a special agent. He lost his dad in this field of work and began to wrestle his demons to take up the same line of occupation. As his life becomes even more complicated, he now has an elite female assassin after him, but for Mark, it is just another day at the office.
Dominick Fencer and Baiban Nighthawk deliver a brilliant novel entitled Black Hawk Day Rewind. The book began slow but after the first couple of chapters I was completely engrossed. The plot was very clever but complicated in places, for me this was all the more challenging. There were several lead characters as well as Savannah, I especially liked the female assassin. Her cool dilemma and her 007 qualities are a dream of every girl, but it was so nice to see her vulnerable side emerge. Without giving too much away, the brain experiments were literally mind boggling. It was an amazing concept and although on several occasions I had to re-read to digest everything, it made for a truly awesome additive. Overall, the author has a well thought out and very strong characters which all give this book some spice. I cannot wait until the second book is released and I would recommend this book to all. It has a bit of everything all wrapped in one and I guarantee you will become completely lost within its pages.

As something of a connoisseur of espionage thrillers, I have to say this is an espionage thriller that truly stands out from the crowd. Well researched, well thought-out and well crafted.
A gripping story from start to finish, the characters come alive on the page. Cutting edge technology and international intrigue are combined with non-stop action and unrelenting tension to provide a truly compelling read.

The novel, Black Hawk Day Rewind by Dominick Fencer and Baibin Nighthawk, centers on the life of Barnett Cooper, a reluctant British agent who finds himself being hunted by the beautiful CIA agent, Anaïs Degann. Barnett’s father was a military man and he grew up resenting his father and his frequent absences from the family home. Barnett wanted to be a doctor and his father wanted him to follow in his footsteps. When his father died, Barnett goes on to medical school and fulfills his heart’s desire. On a university exchange program in Argentina, he meets Professor Zimmerman and his life takes a completely different path. Black Hawk Day Rewind is a fast paced thriller that is bound to keep you reading until the wee hours of the morning. Written by Baibin Nighthawk and Dominick Fencer, the story is obviously well researched. From a seemingly normal household, the plot brings the reader into a world engulfed in secrecy, betrayal and violence. The world of espionage, however, also offers friendship, loyalty and love. As Barnett Cooper undergoes a metamorphosis and becomes Mark Savannah, there is a sudden but smooth shift in the tone of the story. The characters in the story are well developed and each of them is quite interesting. This is a novel that will turn a boring day into a thought-provoking one as we follow the life of Barnett Cooper alias Mark Savannah, student, spy, lover and psychiatrist, as he tries to confront his past and at the same time find happiness in life.
