Bad Intentions mirrors the story of seventeen-year-old Kayla Jensen, who gets kicked out of her house and loses her privileged, lavish lifestyle, because of an act she was accused of and did not commit. To survive she spends a few months at a shelter. She meets Miss Tilda, an old lady who gives her and her friends a place to stay and a job at a nightclub. One evening working at the nightclub, Kayla witnessed the murder of her boss and suddenly is forced to figure out who did it and why. Mysteriously, she meets the handsome family law intern named Chris, and he distracts her from finding out about her family secrets. As crime thickens around her, she solves the missing student cases, in Forney, Texas with the help of the infamous Detective Shims. The following week Kayla and her friend Faye visit Ms. Tilda one last time but find her dead. When the evidence shows that their old boss and the landlord's murder case are related the Detective solves the case and instructs the kids to stay out of the investigation business.
