"Balance Is A Wild Good Chase: Why Women Should Focus More On Nourishment and Moderation To Achieve Wellness" is a short, but comprehensive guide to women's health and wellness. Written by a Doctor of Chinese medicine, this book is a great tool for women to help them achieve and maintain better physical, mental and emotional health.
As women, we all desire to be “healthy,” don’t we? To spend our days feeling energetic, productive, content, worry and pain-free? The barriers lie not in trying (we are all trying our best), but in not knowing what to do or how to fit it in, and in battling our tendencies towards self-sabotage. We can’t truly be “well” (or nourished, as I call it) unless we are taking care of our WHOLE self.. not just the physical parts, but the mental and emotional parts, too. After many years of treating women (and knowing them!), I see that most women struggle with chronic, poorly managed physical, mental and emotional issues, and I know why. It’s because we were never taught how to properly care for ourselves, and we’ve been fed misinformation: information based on male physiology, NOT female physiology. We are expected to function like men, and men we are not! We have been taught to use unhealthy coping mechanisms in an attempt to conform to what we think we “should” be or do. If we, as women, want to be (and continue to be) strong, healthy and nourished, then this has to STOP. The sooner the better!
