Big Crisis, is bigger and better than his first, I couldn't put it down, nor did I want to. A fast paced novel that moves us around the globe and draws you in with characters that you love and root for, (there imperfections makes us love them even more)! Officially putting Mr. Bryan right along side my other favorite, go to authors, like John Grisham and Michael Crichton. I found it as satisfying as a wonderful meal at a gourmet restaurant with wonderful friends. You don't want it to end, but you can't wait for the next course/chapter. Waiting anxiously for the next book.
If you haven’t yet read BIG:Beginnings, I’d encourage you to start there. It’s a fast, fun read and you’ll enjoy BIG: Crisis that much more. But if you just want to dive right into this one, go right ahead. You won’t be disappointed. You’ll quickly get to know this cast of unusual characters, smelling the food they eat, and the urgency of the situations in which they find themselves. Lesson one: The people in charge are never really in charge. Lesson two: Cultivate a good heart and good connections. There are more lessons, but I’ll leave you to find them for yourself!
I found Greyson Byran's books to be exciting; there is a thrill in every chapter, suspense, surprise and he does a great job of developing characters. Big:Crisis, his second book, contains vivid descriptions of terrains which helps to understand the places where the action is taking place. Once you start it's hard to put down! I can't wait for the third episode of Luke's involvement.
"BIG:Crisis" tells the story of a few days that change a country, a business, and several lives. Its drama mixes the powerlessness of a loving father facing a broken legal system, while describing these same tensions on the big scale, between regulation and free markets, between unfettered neo-colonialism and rational international investment. BIG:Crisis' characters present fundamental questions to live a good life, for example, what is the point of going to the extreme to defend your job? And what is love? BIG:Crisis also teaches how international flows of money can be used for the very best and the very worst purposes. BIG:Crisis models life in an extremely enjoyable read. The descriptions of interacting with an autism-spectrum son awed me.
I'm glad Duncan Luke is back in my life. I've missed him. In this second book, we follow Duncan on an even faster, more perilous ride, both personally and professionally. a ride brim-filled with international corporate/government intrigue - the kind of plot that should be on our front pages - and interpersonal mischief and romance. Welcome back, Duncan!
