Everyone deserves the freedom to pursue their dreams. Big Dreams by Alexandra Hoffman follows the story of a young dreamer who wants to be a football player. Gabby is a young girl who lives and breathes football. All she ever wanted was to compete on her own team and score the winning touchdown. When she watches football on TV, she feels sad about the lack of girls playing the game. Although her brother and mother wish for her to pursue other activities, Gabby's father encourages her to follow her dream and signs her up for the local football team. Before long, Gabby finds herself playing on her own team, and now she is determined to win. But will she be able to score the winning touchdown?
An inspiring tale about inclusion and empowering women, Big Dreams is short, sweet, heartwarming, and profoundly wholesome. Alexandra Hoffman tells a beautiful story that will make you smile and leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling in your heart to make your day better. This is the kind of book all parents should introduce to their kids. Hoffman has a lively writing style that will appeal to children and adults alike, and Beatriz Mello's vibrant illustrations perfectly complement Hoffman's storytelling. Gabby is an adorable and talented child you can't help but cheer on. Toward the end of the book, you will find motivational words of wisdom from some of the notable female coaches in football. In conclusion, I loved this picture book and highly recommend it.
