Thirty-two-year-old Vicki Heywood is taking a leave of absence from her position at the U.S. Department of State after her sister's death when her former professor, Kurt Martinsson, presents her with an unusual offer. He wants her to keep tabs on his 22-year-old daughter, Jessica, and 16-year-old son, Brad, for a few months while he takes several business trips. Kurt now works for the Partnership for Advanced Technologies Transformation, which works on ultra-sensitive and classified projects.
