Oh my goodness could not catch my breath in this second book. I love the way it's like just turning the next page from book one and then catches you up with the events from the first. Blends very nicely. Very well written.

What fun it was to read this book. Our hero is larger than life, can do anything and always comes just "this close" to something disastrous. No mere mortal could get out of the situations he gets in, and even knowing he's the hero and will survive, its still exciting because we readers cannot predict just how he's going to do it.
It is great action-hero stuff. There seems to romantic fairy dust floating the air . People just pair up nicely ( in a chaste and wholesome manner), except our hero Alex who is much too busy saving the world. He has access to the highest levels of government, academia and all-around good guys. I would expect nothing less from someone with his noble acts and utter integrity.
I used to gobble up every latest James Bond book, but poor James proved to be unable to keep up with the times, and chauvinism is just so not PC. Alex Cave is just my kind of guy. He doesn't do just plain dumb things as do his fictional contemporaries. He owes it all to his author who knows what he is writing about.
