Crossing Nevada begins as a family road trip across the Nevada desert in 1960, seen through the eyes of a young boy. From there, the story continues as a journey depicting the family struggle to adapt to the mother’s debilitating polio and the father’s sudden death as the boy and his brothers try to come of age. At various crossroads in his life, the young man returns to Nevada in search of sanctuary, meaning, and renewal.
