Although it has many elements of a romance novel, it is more ambitious and well-researched historically. There are a number of surprises and a includes a very creepy villain. It also does not have an entirely happy ending. It's worth a read If you want something different than the usual usual.

Desires of a Deceiver brings together an unusual romance theme with a bit of suspense. I am not a typical fan of romance novels (or, I didn't think so), but this is not a typical romance tale. The young, unattractive female central character creates trouble when her lovely cousin comes to live with her. Read on! Well-written, I enjoyed the author's style. Five stars for making me like this genre!

As part of my journey to learn about story-telling I read a lot of novels. Most of them are pretty similar, this one is a very different level. It has a structure, yet, nothing is what you would expect.

What an unhinged mind can do when entrenched hatred takes over. This romance novel had an interesting dynamic which I found engrossing. Great job. 

An entertaining romance/action/suspense story that keeps you engaged and entertained. Plenty of unique plot twists to keep you turning pages. Refreshing to have a female adversary/villain that doesn't come from a cookie cutter mold. Worth the read.
