Sisters, Jocelyn, Jade, and Julie, are attending their grandmother's funeral when the earthquakes and they all receive magical powers. They then find they have a long lost sister, Jasmine. Jasmine is determined to figure out why she was abandoned and who her family are. The sisters are tasked with protecting the earth from demons. Destiny Awakes was an easy read and a real page-turner. The characters are likeable and fun. The book centered on the sisters relationship with each other but there are side romances. I liked that the sisters figuring out how to get along took precedence. The paranormal aspect was mind blowing as well. I absolutely loved this book and am looking forward to reading more from this author.

Fates brings the sisters back together where they learn about secrets that kept them apart, like that they had a fourth sister. They also learn that they are from a family of witches and they will be protecting the world from all kinds of evil.
As the four women learn to use their powers they have attracted the attention of a demon that is determined to gain their power. The women are going to have to explore their pasts to find the key to win this fight.
This is a great story that had me sucked in from the beginning. I liked all four sisters and I felt for them and the different things they went through growing up. In the end they come together to fight the demon and are stronger for the battle.
This is a first book in the series and one heck of a start. There was action, adventure, love, and heartbreak. I loved this book and recommend checking it out.
