Excellent book!!! A friend recommended this book to me and I had it on my TBR list for a while until a couple of days ago that I decided to read it. Well, I should've read it earlier. I loved the story and the way the characters developed. I love Sammie and how she decides to pick up the broken pieces of her existence and put herself back together. And
What can say about Slate? H-O-T comes to mind but there is so much more behind him. Highly recommended!

Samantha Dennison doesn't know when she lost her identity. Okay, so she knows but she is just now realizing it. Her daughter has gone away to college and she is left in her big house with a man that shows little interest in her and even more so in being her husband. With a little shove in the right direction, she is going to redefine who she is.

After a few months of getting her body in shape she finds herself taking a pole dancing class. A board housewife without the need of a second income, she eventually finds herself working as a dancer, Samantha is now known as Diamond. But even with the hot new body and more self-confidence, her husband doesn't seem to notice. But someone does.

Slate, the blue eyed biker that sits at the end of the stage has her interest immediately. And it seems like the feeling is mutual. When she finally gives into her desire to be in the arms of a man that wants her, that desires her – the sparks fly. But there is something far larger going on. Her husband Jack, Slate and Sammie are all tangled in far more than just the sheets.

So before we begin, let me just rant for a few minutes (or hours) about what a jerk Jack is. I don’t think I have ever hated a character more in my life. From the first introduction I wanted to string this man up by his balls. I was done, I didn't want to see this prick’s name in the book – he instantly just made my blood boil. And this was his first parts in the book. He hadn't even begun to show his true colors yet. Typically cheating is not something that I like in a book, but I found that I was the captain cheerleader on team adultery.

Now Slate, so much alpha-goodness that I was ready to kneel at his feet, lick his biker boots and submit to any of his demands. Who could say no to this man? Not this girl.

”Come here,” he gently ordered in a dark voice. “I want to touch your pussy. I want to see if it’s worthy of my cock.”

Sammie and Slate begin a relationship, he knows about the Rat Bastard, but he wants his Diamond Girl. Slate’s life doesn't leave him open to the idea of a relationship in the traditional sense. For Sammie, she is experiencing things for the first time, things that she’s never had with her husband.

There are a lot of twists in the story, some of them were predictable but that comes with the nature of these types of books. The series name gives away a bit of what those twists entail however, that did not diminish anything as things are revealed. This was my first ready from Andrea Smith, I've had a few of her books on my TBR list for a while and when given the chance of an ARC of the third book in this series, I jumped on it. Getting ready to dive into a marathon G-Man Series session. I was not disappointed.

There was a great mix of suspense with the story-line and well written sex scenes. I was immediately pulled into this story and stayed up all night to finish it, excited to know that after a few hours of sleep that I would get to start book two.

A nice change of pace with an older heroine and a love story that doesn't involve the typical young naive girl that falls in love with a billionaire. I can honestly say that this is a book that I would recommend be read. It had a great mix of everything we love in our romance reads and is well put together.

Go Samantha! I love the growth we get to experience with Samantha in this book. She was forced into a marriage when she got pregnant at 16 and well, this really wasn't the best plan for her. When her daughter goes to college she is sort of at loose ends, her role as Mom isn't really needed now but she never allowed herself to do something for herself. She starts working out and a class in pole dancing really awakens something inside her that she didn't know she was missing. I really never expected Sam to end up working at a gentleman's club but I loved how this job gave her confidence and courage to finally be true to herself. Slate is blown away when he sees "Diamond" dance on the stage, he needs to get to know her. Andrea Smith kept me from that point on. Craziness with her husband Jack, the connection with Slate and how insanely things can intertwine. I don't want to spoil anything so grab it and enjoy!
