Diagnosed during her high school years, the author decided to keep a personal diary of her confusion, fear, and challenges of being diagnosed with Lupus. This diary records thoughts and feelings for being diagnosed, to understanding and accepting the reality of living life with Lupus. 

An estimated 1.5 million Americans are living with Lupus, according to lupus.org. Even more startling, 63 percent of Lupus cases are initially misdiagnosed. Statistics show nearly two-thirds of the general public knows very little about this devastating disease.
