A frightening, peek into the near future!
The book does work as a stand alone but my reading of the first book in the Chandler series enhanced my enjoyment of the read. The date for the proposed American election, postponed in the first book now looms in a country close to losing control. Many states are demanding succession, the economic policy is failing, people are rioting and computor hackers have the power to hold the country to ransom. As British reader the Brexit vote, the autherity policies and the recent hacking of the National Health Service makes the vision for the future a frightening posibilty. An American reader or someone who follows American politics would understand the details better but the overall message is universal.
To save the country fron slipping into civil unrest Chandler must broker a deal between the established leaders and the new forces at the same time as making new friends, strenthening existing relationships and losing a trusted advisor.
A fast paced, imaginative read I'd recommend to fans of political thrillers.

Jim Mosquera, author
Chandler Scott returns in book 3 of the series, Division. He teams up with an unexpected foe to right the listing ship known as the United States of America. The sinister revelation in his documentary unleashed a torrent of both anger and support for the president. America is a country tearing at the seams.
Spending time with his love and hoping to be just a spectator in a convention deciding the future of the republic, Chandler is thrust into plots threatening to undermine the Executive branch of government and ultimately the entire country. Along the way, he must be a bridge between groups on opposite sides of the political spectrum — groups whose help he needs. His mentors also lend a hand, though they bring him unexpected news.
The frenetic pace of events only heightens Chandler’s doubts about what is real and what is not. Can he overcome his doubts and save the country?
