Book Review. Takeaways: Chapter One’s opening scene was the perfect setting to launch the characters in motion. There are many characters, each having their agenda and flowing with the storyline’s movements. As many characters begin to interact with each other in scenes, each character becomes familiar and intriguing to find out what dialogue they will say next. Suddenly, this novel becomes an immersive read. The genre after reading the entire book I will categorize as drama-comedy. There is plenty of drama, and the comedy is laugh-out-loud funny where you need to take it in small doses, or it is too much laughing at one time. The comedic timing is perfect and complements the scene without overpowering it. As the pages turn more characters get introduced into the storyline moving at a page-turner pace. Each chapter is full of intrigue and begins to feel like the reader is watching a movie. This is a dialogue-heavy novel that requires the reader to get into character as the storyline plays out. As the storyline begins to shift mid-book, suddenly, all that happened is the past as this book is always moving in the moment. The novel is a fast-paced book that keeps the reader entertained on every page until the last words that lead to the back cover. Although this is the seventh book in the series, it can be read as a one-off. Readers familiar with some of the characters will know their backstories. For readers who stumbled into this novel are in for a fun drama-comedy.
