Plot: In this well paced and solidly plotted novel, the conflicts and suspicions that dominate the story are smoothly moved toward resolution.
Prose: The author's prose is solid, engaging, and appropriate to the material.
Originality: The concept of vampires and dragons living in contemporary New York is clever and original, and the relationship between humans and magical races is fresh and unexpected. However, the battles and their outcomes will be familiar to readers of paranormal fiction.
Character Development: From their first meeting, the course of the relationship between the vampire king and the draconian demigoddess fits into a predictable pattern. Members of the supporting cast evolve gradually and the relationships between long-time enemies make sense and are believable.

Scripted beautifully by someone who grew up fantasizing about super heroes like Wonder Woman, Ella J. Phoenix always felt inspired by paranormal romances since the age of 9. It was her passion and her mother’s blind trust in her great writing abilities that she finally decided to give it a deserving chance. Even after spending 5 years with no claimable cash in her pockets, she didn’t put her writing on hold and firmly believed she was meant for greater things. It chronicles a steamy and sensual tale of 2 lovers, enemies by nature, who couldn’t keep their overwhelming sexual desires in check. Tardieh is a vampire, next in line to be the King, whose upbringing was all about not trusting the dragons. On the other hand, Zoricah is a Draconian demigoddess, trying to unravel the mysterious killings and the one behind them. Her most recent and closest loss was that of her murdered father, which compelled her to make choices she never would have if given the choice. Determined to find out the one behind the sadistic murders, she has to take the help of her archenemy, Tardieh.
Tardieh had always envisioned a peaceful future of his kingdom, one that ends the differences between the two paranormal beings. But he had no idea that such a day would come so soon.
What will happen when they find themselves falling head over heels for each other? Romance between a vampire and a dragon shifter has always been forbidden. Will they be able to control their feelings or give in to their sexual desires and heat which intensifies with every minute they spend together? And what will become of their relationship once they find out the secret behind the mysterious killings and find the one who is behind them?
With steamy romance, descriptive intimate scenes and a story that will grip readers on all levels, Ella has done a remarkable job to make herself and her imaginations noticed in the literary world. Readers will find themselves desperately wanting to read the next book in the series to see how the characters grow over time.
