I loved reading this book. I enjoyed the challenge of trying to understand the dreams. I found myself not wanting to lay it down to do other things, I wanted to keep reading to the end. There were a few spelling and missing word errors. I feel many books now are getting to print with some errors. I worry that this is not a good example for our upcoming youth readers.
Barbara Woster has a style of writing that blends reality and grit with romance. The pace is never dull and I enjoyed the interweaving of two cultures, especially with Shaman prophesy and dreaming. As a love story it truly delivered.
An amazing tale of a 17 year old Christina from the 1800s. The amount of research done by the author, that went to write a riveting and believable tale such as this one must be recognized. Loved reading this book.
This story has a beautiful love story but it has also spiked my need to explore my own spirit. Thank you for a great read.
I liked this book than I expected. Characters and story are amazing. This book is about romantic love story from the 1800's. You will like it if you liked "Pride & Prejudice", "The Notebook" and similar books.
Dreamer of Destiny is a Saga, and boy did it truly earn the title. The story stretches across time, place, and even dimensions of reality to chart Christina’s journey of struggle and loss, of growth and ultimately of love with the soul mate who has watched over her in her dreams. All while demonstrating that Destiny will have its way even against seeming overwhelming odds.
I found the author’s voice authentic and engaging, especially the time spent in the heart and words of her native characters. At the beginning of the book I found myself peeking ahead to see when we would get to see Baying Wolf again, (there was just something about the man!) I loved the fact that romance was secondary to the general arc of adventure and drama, and yet the ultimate reward for both the characters and readers patient enough to see the story to its end.
The writer’s attention to detail in recreating the world of the 1800s (a few inconsistencies notwithstanding) did much to help immerse the reader into the world of the story. A solid, enjoyable read all round!
Very good book. Thought it very real and anxious to move on. Felt connected to Christina and her family. Well wrote and thought out. Loved it.
