To give you an overview of my book, it’s called Esmerelda, The Gifted, Volume 1. This fiction book is about a girl named Esmerelda who was born with two right hands and two left feet. A family friend predicts that Esmerelda will be disabled. But her prediction is wrong. Esmerelda is gifted to break up disagreements, detect when one is lying, and stop time all by using her hands and feet. As a teenager, Esmerelda uses her gifts to fight crime as she also finds a love interest. \t Many adults have problems stemming from childhood wounds that are never resolved. In Esmerelda’s story I have created characters who struggle with issues of low self-esteem, depression, and addiction. These characters go through counseling to improve their lives. I do this to show the reader that counseling can bring healing and hope to his or her life. The reader will also see that counseling simply involves answering questions which open our minds to face issues that suppress our full potential.
