Scientists have spiked Jack the squirrel's woods with cameras-and traps. After a close call, Jack knows he must leave. Sister, Rat, Fox; all the woodland animals have left their woods. Collin, Jack's human friend, helps him escape the scientists by taking him to a sanctuary. There, Jack meets other squirrels and animals. Collin visits, teaching Jack the last of the simple machines. It's not long before the scientists track Jack down. After one last battle, with the help of the other animals, Jack and the squirrels escape into the woods, where they will keep running.
