When out-of-work lawyer John Garner reaches for a piece of scratch paper, he unwittingly picks up proof of a nation under siege from within. Over the next four days, he and his friend Sandy, a brilliant programmer, will break the code and discover that someone is hijacking Tuesday’s presidential election by altering machine-counted votes in key precincts. But between now and then, they’ll be attacked repeatedly, their identities will be hacked, their accounts canceled, and the dead bodies will pile up. They’re about to discover that their number one task isn’t getting to the bottom of the conspiracy. It’s staying alive.
