The book goes from quirky to straight-up bonkers. It is definitely a humorous story, but it doesn't come off as purely comedic or slapsticky at all. That death by chocolate is honestly a horrifying visual, and there's a sentence I didn't think I'd ever write!

This book is absolutely ridiculous. The plot is bonkers...There are layers of girlhood, abandonment, feeling inferior, and wanting to belong. So many wonderful moments of triumph and great horror moments in this laughable plot. I adored it. I laughed a lot and I had fun reading it. What better B-plot is there? Obsessed
