God In New York
Rikki Tahta, author
God in New York, a new book by New Yorker and technology entrepreneur Rikki Tahta, is now available in paperback and as eBook at Amazon.com. Tahta travelled across the five boroughs of New York City and asked 200 New Yorkers of different religious, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds what they really think and feel about God. Do they or do they not believe in a higher power? If so, how do they feel the presence of a higher power in their everyday lives? Tahta’s interview subjects talk about a range of topics relating to their beliefs, including struggling with faith, converting, abandoning religion, mixed faith marriages and addiction. The book analyzes how New Yorkers approach the divine today and looks at new groupings of faith that emerge when religion is stripped away and people talk honestly about what they actually believe. In a city where everybody has an opinion on everything, his findings are fascinating.
