The story I am Not an Owl or Am I? written by Sherri Eri is an adorable story about the power of being oneself.
As a parent with two young children this is an important story and the theme is one of the first things that drew me in. Both my children are at the age where they are being 'tested' by their peers for who they are and I think this story is a perfect way to show them that who they are is special.
This book has amazingly bright and colourful pictures which I think is so important to a children's book. But also this particular author uses a little more verbal description in her writing to aid visually impaired people gain the most out of her stories. This extra description in no way takes away from the story, in fact it creates a wonderful diction that is beneficial for people of all sight ability.
If you want a super cute story with amazing images to assist in showing your littles that they are special just as they are then this is the book for you!
I would like to thank the publishers and the author for the opportunity to share this advance review copy with my children. I received an advance review copy for free and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions are my own.
