Spellbinding paranormal mystery thriller

Kalie, Gwen, Pat, and Jean take off for a month long road trip that will take them through Vegas, the Grand Canyon, and Yosemite. Their goal is to camp out, have fun, and enjoy life.They'd been warned of all kinds of dangers, but they were young and fearless and absolutely not worried about the silly tales of UFOs and Bigfoot. But as their journey progresses, they begin to realize that the stories they've scoffed at might not be as absurd as they originally believed. Before long, what was supposed to be a fun camping trip turns into a nightmarish mystery that will involve parents, numerous branches of law enforcement, and the supernatural.
The story comes from several POV, and includes a liberal sprinkling of photos to help set the scenes. There's plenty of suspense and secrecy to keep you constantly guessing as the lies and coverups begin to surface. As the truth about who is really in control begins to come to light, the families realize their daughters have become pawns in a much larger game. It's a spellbinding paranormal mystery thriller, and having it draw from actual events makes it even more compelling. I enjoyed it a lot!

So, growing up I had a major fixation on Bigfoot and used to think that I would see one at the edge of the woods. I still wonder about it as I spend time in more rural areas of the country. I simply loved author Lyn Murray's "Indigenous: Bigfoot People" and the fact that she writes documentarian stories. I had never heard of this before and enjoyed this story immensely. Based on reports of actual events, this is the story of a group of college students who set off on a road trip together and a massive mystery ensues that involves the law and some great supernatural elements. There are some awesome photos included and I found this story to be a mix of historical fiction, thriller, paranormal, drama, and so much more. Great read.

An intriguing addition to a well-known story

I have been interested in the tales of Bigfoot-like creatures since I was a child, so when I saw this book which brings a new and interesting perspective to the mysteries, I knew I had to read it! I was not disappointed! Written in an almost documentary-like style and full of information and intrigue, this a unique and fascinating take on a well known mystery, made all the more chilling by the fact it is based on a true story. With a topic that is now well overdone Lyn Murray brings something original to the Legend, and embellishes it well with bright, useful photos and in-depth information. Definitely an author to watch out for and a story to get engrossed in.
