Plot: Invader is a cunningly plotted novel that keeps readers guessing with twists and turns and an ending they won't see coming. However, at times the storyline can feel a bit convoluted and contrived.
Prose: The author's prose is simple and effective. Her descriptions are a little generic, but fans of the genre are likely to appreciate the quick pacing and clever plot.
Originality: The plot feels fresh and original. The characters are less original and will be familiar to fans of the genre.
Character Development: While the main character is well rendered and vivid, the other players never really come into focus.
