Janetta and the Book Thief by B.S. Gibbs is a stunning children's book that follows a young girl named Janetta. Janetta always has her nose in a book, but one day she discovers that the last chapter of all her books have disappeared. A book fairy named Violetta appears to her and says that they need her help in saving the books. Janetta goes to the fairy world, and is told that book fairies sprinkle inspiration dust on authors to help them write their books. She is also told that the fairies believe the reason books are missing chapters is because of a fairy called Sir Grumpsalot. Janetta visits Sir Grumpsalot, and sees that he is really grumpy. But Janetta has a plan to save her books. Will her plan work?

I really loved reading Janetta and the Book Thief by B.S. Gibbs. The book is very well written and descriptive. The story is super exciting, and full of suspense. The characters are very likeable, because they are all kind and smart. The characters are also relatable, because many people enjoy reading, just like Janetta. The illustrations by Anca Gabriela Marginean are very well drawn and and depict each scene and each character vividly. I was hooked by the first page and I never wanted to put the book down. The book teaches that you should never tease anyone, and that sometimes things hurt people (or fairies), even if they aren't meant to. I would definitely recommend this book to young readers.
