As one of the first American-born ski school directors, Bounous helped develop a power skiing technique in the 1940s and 1950s, became a consultant for ski and ski boot manufacturers, and became an acclaimed sports writer from articles written about skiing techniques and published in nationally acclaimed skiing magazines.
