S.R. Johnson, author
Renee and Ezekiel’s relationship survived her being kidnapped so far. Renee and Ezekiel get engaged, and Renee is pregnant, but their lives seem to have drama written all over it. Renee’s kidnapper finally had his sentencing hearing which Ezekiel forbade Renee to go to, but she went anyway. While there, her abductor lied, so she stood up and set the record straight, telling the Judge what happened. This makes her abductor extremely angry. What will happen? When she left the courthouse, her abductors’ parents stopped and talked to her. What will they say? Will they defend their son? Will they apologize? Renee finds out she’s pregnant but doesn’t tell Ezekiel immediately. When will he find out about the pregnancy? When she got home, Ezekiel was furious, and Renee realized her phone had died, so she didn’t see the calls or texts from Ezekiel. He worried about her safety and was upset with her for not answering her phone. Even though her phone was dead, he expected her to keep it charged. He finally got Renee to be honest and admit where she was, which made him more upset. After Ezekiel calmed down, he cuddled her, cared for her, and ensured she felt loved and cared for. The good news is that they have an exceptional bond. She submits to his needs, and he does things to her that she doesn’t even realize she needs. Can their relationship survive what’s to come? Renee plays matchmaker and ropes Ezekiel into a double date with their friends as Renee tries to see if her friend Sarah likes Ezekiel’s friend Luke. Since Luke already admitted to liking Sarah. Ezekiel agrees to do the double date, but he tells Renee that she owes him for getting him into this. De'Vannon Hubert

Very enticing read with a good mix of danger and love.

This was a very steamy novel that centered on Renee and Zeke. I did not read the first in the series, which probably covered the meeting between these two and Renee's kidnapping by Sam. The author did a good job of switching the focus to the current story and dropping breadcrumbs, which filled me in so the story did not lose me when referencing a past event.

I enjoyed this mostly, though a good editing might prevent some issues such as the stilted conversation and the continuous use of 'Princess' instead of her/she/Renee. Also, there wasn't really a main plot to this. It was mostly the main characters going through the motions of the day with a lot of sex, BDSM, multiple partners, etc. thrown in. There were a few things thrown in, like Sam's escape from prison, which was never resolved. The ending seemed abrupt when the author could have closed this plotline out.

This is a great BDSM read for women. It’s nice to find an author who actually puts real life in her romances instead of an idealized pile of fake poo.

The story is enjoyable, and actually super relatable. Like, yeah, this could really happen. And I’d be interested to see this in my own life.
