This is my first medieval read. This was such a dark time in the early 1400's. The authors have managed to write just how dark it was and how King Drakekar manipulated and controlled his lands to a point of no return for the villagers that lived there. You find yourself entangled in each of the characters and the lives they lived under control of this dark King. Somewhere within this evil lies a beautiful love story. I really loved how I could put myself into the story and feel the emotions of the characters that protrayed their positions within this dark time. I definately would recommend this book and look forward to what the authors come up with next!!!!
