Chuck Crane quits his job with an international highway construction firm and moves his family from Weston Massachusetts to Shelburne, Ontario Canada. All is well in their new home until a fateful trip to the Christmas tree farm. Trouble begins when the Christmas tree lot is out of trees and Chuck cuts a tree from dead man Waller's estate. The family loses their house to disaster, but gain a newfound sense family and tradition.
