Little Miss Jean and The Time Machine is such a fun children's book that discusses a form of play that isn't quite the same anymore. Nowadays, most kids' eyes are glued to their tablets, televisions, video games, and smartphones. Few kids use their imaginations when it comes to playing these days, and I'm so happy that Karri Theis raised the subject in this book. I'm one of the last generations who remember playing outside with friends until the street lights came on and using our imaginations with what little we had around us.I feel this book can help to spark that aspect of play again. The illustrations are also gorgeous and fit the storyline perfectly. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to see what else Karri Theis comes up with next. Gold Star recipient.
