The beautiful Chantel Du Maurier comes to New York to make it in the beauty industry. Initially, she finds a job at Bloomingdale's working for Champs of Paris. She also finds love with Marco Puccio, but the relationship is halted by his mother. Chantel focuses on her career and later meets the generous Spiro Pagonis. Spiro helps her with her career. But several years before that Chantel has an encounter with another man who sexually assaults her. She has a daughter named Crystal. Chantel's best friend Dora brings her support and laughter.
