Eile is an independent agent who works for American intelligence; Sunny is another independent agent who works for Pan-German intelligence. Their superiors instruct them to contact a freelance agent in Washington DC who has offered to sell their countries plans for a new weapon. Meanwhile, Differel is yet another independent agent who works for British intelligence. The freelancer did not offer the plans to Great Britain, but Whitehall wants them all the same, and order her to steal them. All three meet at a party and fight it out, but something's wrong. Not all is as it seems. Is the freelancer play some kind of game? Are the plans even real? Is something more nefarious going on? Despite their loyalties to their governments and their personal animosities, will they have to work together to solve the puzzle? Or can they?
