When I began this journey I had no idea what to expect. Sure I had read the reviews from friends and saw how much they loved this series, but we all know that not everyone reads the same book. I expected a great series that I would thoroughly enjoy, I did not expect to be fully captivated by a series that was pure addiction.
Darcy is young, she is beautiful, spoiled rotten and she is devastated. When she met her own G-Man she imagined her own happily ever after, but things don’t always work out the way you want. Escaping her heartache, Darcy finds herself at a luxurious resort in Belize and moments after arriving she finds her eyes locked onto a beautiful stranger.
Easton is a man of wealth and privilege. Love and trust are two things that he has no need for. When a beautiful woman catches his eye a flash of his past resurfaces. Suddenly he has the urge to take her, covet her and punish her.
A few brief encounters leaves Darcy longing for the stunning man that has taken her breath. When their paths cross yet again, this time the desire is far too strong to deny.
Ladies, there is a new alpha in town and his name is Easton Matthews. He is terribly broken, brutally handsome and soaked-panties-hot. Did I mention he has a British accent and may or may not have a little flash in his pants? Wow. Just f-me wow.
Easton’s past delivers us a fetish for kink and punishing sex. He is that sort of eff’d up that makes your toes curl. While Darcy is no stranger to the ways of a man, her eyes have been opened when it comes to the idea of play in the bedroom. Discovering a side to her own desire that she never expected to be boiling just below the surface.
Now, what fun would it be if these two were to meet, fall helplessly in love and spend the rest of their lives in each other’s arms without a bit of drama. Where we experienced the mystery & suspense in both Diamond Girl and Love Plus One, we get the drama with Night Moves.
My mind and body were at complete odds throughout most of this read. Torn between seething mad and wanting to ravish him. This was a scorching hot read and it was not so much about the sex (although there are zero complaints in that department), but the chemistry and tension between these two was electrifying.
This series was my first experience with Andrea Smith, and it most certainly won’t be my last. Such a dimensional story that was so far beyond just a romance. There is no neat little box where this can be placed. Unquestionably a fantastic series that is bound to capture the reader from the start and hold them captive until the very last word.

Lindsay’s best friend & college roommate, Darcy Sheridan got the shock of her life when she walked in on her G-Man boyfriend, Darin Murphy, cheating on her. When that happened, she took off to Belize for Christmas. While there, she ran into an utterly handsome and enigmatic man, named E.J. whom she was attracted to, as well as he was attracted to her. He wasn’t totally upfront with her about everything, but used a technicality to excuse himself and his behavior. Before he left the country, he said that he would be seeing her again, though she didn’t really plan on it.
While in Belize she also met and befriended Eli, a gay man, who also became one of her best friends and eventual roommate. At Taz and Lindsay’s wedding, Darcy is shocked to learn that E.J. is also more commonly known as Easton Matthews, Taz’s older brother and best man. But we do get to at least see Lindsay and Taz get their HEA.
Darcy is still, terribly attracted to him and him to her. What starts as one night becomes more nights. But Easton is adamant that there will be no other type of relationship other than a sexual one. But as much as he says that and portrays that, he can’t help having deeper feelings for Darcy and leading her on until she falls for him. So he does the only thing that he thinks he can do, and that is separating them with a large distance.
Though distances don’t always work and the old saying, “Absences makes the heart grow fonder” is certainly true in their case. After seeing each other again, they of course reunite in passion and form a pseudo-relationship. Are you confused? Good, so is Darcy.
Darcy and Easton will face more ups and downs and there are more twists and turns in their story. But Darcy has her roommate Eli to lean on and also has her best friend Lindsay to talk to, who also asks Taz for insight on his brother.
I feel like I can’t go any further into the story without giving away any of the plot or subplots, and I just refuse to do spoilers. However, I will say that Lindsay’s father, the rat b@st@rd does make a reappearance in this book, which does come to a head to finish out this great trilogy!
I know I sound like a broken record with the recent books I have read and reviewed by Andrea Smith, but I really loved this book and I absolutely love this series! Each book keeps getting better and better and Night Moves is no exception. The angst and heartache and frustration in this book (along with the lust and sexy scenes, of course) kept me from updating my comments while I read it completely through the night and in one sitting. Does this happen to anyone else? I honestly couldn't put it down! That right there, ladies and gentlemen, is the sign of a very good book!
In this book, we follow the lives of Easton Matthews (brother of Taz) and Darcy Sheridan (BFF of Lindsey). We have gotten to know both characters throughout the rest of the series, but really only delve into both of their lives in Night Moves. Darcy is your quintessential spoiled princess, while Easton is quite the ladies man with LOTS of baggage. Actually, they both have baggage, which we learn throughout. It is quite a long book, so we discover all of this through a process, which at times, for me at least, could have been a little bit shorter. However, with that said, because of the length, we truly get to see who the H and h are and why they are both damaged, but also their personal growth. It makes for quite the interesting storyline. Additionally, we get to see a good deal of Eli from These Men and his friendship with Darcy - great add-ons here! "Eli pulled away from me, crossing his arms. "A piece of advice, Darce? When it comes to f**king someone over, don't f**k with someone who knows how to f**k you harder."" Ha! Great advice, Eli!
I am not going to delve into the plot so you can figure it out for yourself as you read, but I have to say how much I loved reading this book. Even with all of the angst, which was plentiful, the lust and, ultimately, love, it all came together to produce a fabulous book. Well done again, Andrea!
