This book is Irons’ debut novel, but I expect we’ll see much more of him. His writing is engaging, and the characters are well developed with back stories of their own.

Suspense thrillers often involve people or situations that are far removed from average daily lives, but Reclaiming Our Own involves average people, thereby keeping readers glued to the fast-paced story and its twists – events that could happen to even average people. 

Reclaiming Our Own by Christopher Irons is a high-flying and engaging novel that is sure to ensare the reader from the first initial trip to the mall up unto the closing tender scene at the hospital.

Brett Moore, a U.S. Army Ranger, has now settled into suburban life. That suburban life includes a loving wife, a cat by the name of Jonesy, working in a career field that he loves and enjoying his brother's family. On a trip to the mall to spend time with his brother's family, his life and the life of those that he loves is about to be severely disrupted and placed in danger.

Heading back to his vehicle to retrieve his wallet an alarm emanating from the mall shatters the peaceful day. Brett's training as a combat veteran engages and as he heads back to the mall where he witness the abduction of his nephew Cameron. A struggle ensues and Army Ranger Brett Moore finds himself being abducted as well as his nephew.

And so the story unfolds; a story that can almost be ripped from the news media today. It is an intricate story of crime, abductions and drugs in which the resulting webs that are weaved entangle the unlikeliest of players.

The personalities and the characters, as revealed in the book, are well-developed as the writer creatively and artistically weaves each of their own personal stories in the overall narrative towards the recovery efforts of those wronged.

The story also accurately captures the effects of war upon those who defend the rights of others and how those wounds and resulting damage runs deep.

Reclaiming Our Own by Christopher Irons is an extremely well written novel that will fully engage the attention and imagination of the reader. 

Reclaiming Our Own by Christopher Irons is one of the best suspense thrillers I have ever read. The amazing thing is the plot isn't so different from others in this genre, but the author's ability to place the reader at the place of actions keeps you glued to the pages. Brett Moore is at the scene of his own nephew's kidnapping when his Ranger training kicks in. He wakes up chained to a shelf in an old shed, no idea how he got there. There was more than just one kidnapping though, his team unravels a whole network of evil plans.

I found Christopher Irons an excellent story teller with the unique skill of weaving characters, circumstances, and arranging a strategic rescue around an engaging tale. Reclaiming Our Own has various characters that make up this complex mission. This book would make a great movie. I am looking forward to reading more from this author. He could continue with Brett Moore, but I could also see him writing a different book but in the same genre. 

This book is a surprising, twisty, riveting, dark, mind-bending, whodunit book. I was gripped from the opening paragraphs, and I could not put this book down. I needed something that would distract me completely, and this was it.

This is a pleasant surprise for me. When that happens, I am like this excited kid running around with a big bag of candy, wanting to share it with everyone who will come and chat about all the different flavors in the bag with me.

This is mysterious, riveting, heart throbbing page turner and ends with a surprising cliffhanger that makes you want to pray that the author writes the sequel urgently; I want to read more!

If you are looking for something a little different from those dark and twisted thrillers that is well-plotted and draws you into an interesting puzzle to solve, this is one not to be missed.

I highly recommend RECLAIMING OUR OWN to anyone who enjoys well-crafted mysteries.

This book is very thrilling, fast paced, and entertaining to read. The author not only does a great job of writing a lot of action into the story but he also provides a good group of characters for the reader to connect to and care about. The book starts out with what appears to be random kidnappings but as you keep reading, you realize there is more to it than that. There are several intense moments in the book but there are also many heartwarming, fun moments as well. There are also twists and turns as you follow along with the investigations and discover what the true masterplan is behind all the kidnappings. I enjoyed reading about each of the different characters in the book, even the ones that were involved with helping the kidnappers as some of them had understandable reasons for doing what they did. I truly loved reading this book and hope to read more from this author.

Reclaiming our Own is a dark thriller that honestly made me very uncomfortable. But that’s the whole point, right? Christopher Irons’ style of writing is great, switching back and forth from emotional drama to survival drama quite easily. The description of kidnapped is dark, haunting, terrifying, and extremely detailed. I like how the suspense is furthered by dichotomy of safeness of the family and the immediate danger that unfolds. The characters are well developed and the concept of the novel is unique and effectively thrilling. I would definitely like to read more from this author!
