The whole book was fun! Surprisingly fun!! And this is why I say surprisingly:
There are so many gems and teachable moments on the pages. However, the author conveys them in such a way that it doesn’t get in the way of a pleasurable and entertaining storytime for the reader.
Jake and the Giant Beach is another great entry in the *Robotastic *series by Sari Karplus. A tale of compromise, coding, and problem-solving, kids are sure to enjoy this STEAM-based book, and may even start shouting out their own suggestions for how Jake can fix Hamilton B. But it’s friendship that reigns supreme here, with Jake going out of his way to make sure that Hamilton B has what he needs for a day at the beach and isn’t left out of any of the sandy fun!
