If you enjoyed the Narnia series by C.S. Lewis you will love this book. Shale, a young troubled teen, is led into another dimension by a talking dog. The story is filled with other talking animals and adventures as she travels to first century Israel, finds that dimension's version of her birth father, and ultimately her true father, the King of Kings. What I love about the Narnia series, and this book is that it is really a story within a story. The book is ultimately about the main character discovering herself and coming to terms with her demons and learning how to overcome them by calling on the King. The talking animals in the story all seem to represent an aspect of Shale's character.

In her travels in the seventh dimension Shale meets a young Jewish boy Daniel, who is also in the seventh dimension on his own personal journey. Could this king that Shale has witnessed performing miracles really be the Jewish Messiah? Daniel's quest leaves many loose ends leaving room for a sequel.

Even though this book is billed as a young adult novel it has appeal for all ages. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
