Show Your Paycheck Who's Boss: Financial Guide & Planner for Single Parents
Single Parents Can WIN With Money! Being a single parent is really tough. I know that first-hand. And I also know what it feels like to worry about not having enough money to pay the rent, or put food on the table. I'll never forget how it felt to stand in line at the grocery story, and wonder how I would pay for the food that my children needed. When I was growing up, my parents thought they were teaching me about money. They taught me how to balance a checkbook, but I never learned how to make sure I was spending less than I made. I needed a plan. In Show Your Paycheck Who's Boss, we cover financial topics that are specific to single parents. Do you pay or receive child support? How should you handle paying for birthday and holiday gifts? What if your kids just want to eat pizza all the time? Along with practical advice about getting rid of debt and saving for emergencies and retirement, we've included three planners: Mindful Positivity Planner Career Planner 100 Day Action Plan Single parents really can be successful financially - and you can teach your kids how to do it, too!

Finally, A Practical Guide to Personal Finance Just for Single Parents

[Van Alstyne, TX] -- [September, 2022] – Motina Books Publishing is happy to announce the release of Show Your Paycheck Who’s Boss – Financial Guide & Planner For Single Parents, by author Diane Windsor. Windsor was a single parent for many years and she also was the leader of the largest single parent support group in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area from 2011 to 2019.

This book is designed to be interactive. Readers are encouraged to write notes in the planner pages, create envelope categories, and dogear the pages to keep track of their progress.

Other books for single parents talk about manifesting a new future through positive thinking. While a positive mindset is always important, Show Your Paycheck Who’s Boss contains many practical, actionable tips that are specific to both men and women who are parenting without a partner.

Some of these specific topics are:

  • Child Support Payments – paying and receiving
  • Gift Giving – your kids and others
  • Saving for Retirement
  • Sending Your Kids to College

There are a lot of great personal finance books available that single parents could refer to,” says Windsor. “But there are so many topics that apply only to single parents, and nobody is addressing those. I really believe that single parents can get a handle on their finances and be successful, and this book will be a valuable tool.”

Not sure what to make for dinner, but you don’t want to spend money on fast food? Windsor explains several easy weekday meal ideas. Need to make some extra money? You’ll find instructions on how to start a small business. Thinking about asking for a promotion, or maybe changing jobs? There’s a whole chapter on Careers, and the book includes a detailed Career Planner.

You’ll actually find three complete planners that will help you get your finances in order.

Available for purchase on Amazon, or directly from the publisher.
