What a charming and beautiful book. The illustrations are gorgeous. The story is simple and at the same time gives us many lessons. In this rhyming book, Kate's birthday is almost ruined by her brother's gluttony, but he makes for it with the help of the Paul who is a great character and in the end, all ends well. I love their expressions and the soft colors the most.

5.0 out of 5 starsThis is another splendid book by Lapid that will enchant children
By Israel Drazin TOP 1000 REVIEWERVINE VOICE on November 13, 2016Format: Paperback
In this third volume in Yossi Lapid’s clever books, written in the kind of poetry kids like, about the friendship between Dan and a snowman, Dan makes a terrible mistake, and is crying. Without thinking, Dan eats the entire cake that Mom had prepared for his sister Kate’s birthday tomorrow. He needs help. He doesn’t know what to do.
His friend Paul the snowman has an idea. The two work all night to create what Paul thinks will satisfy Kate. They build a wonderland that will not only thrill Kate in the story but also children who read the tale.
Children will be thrilled to see what is in the wonderland and what is Kate’s reaction to it. Will she forget the cake that she had been looking forward to eating? If not, what or who saves the day?
