Si'Empra is an Antarctic Island with precious resources sought after by today's modern economies. Ellen has been trained by her father to be the next ruler of Si'Empra. But, upon her father's death, the elite elect her brother who neither respects the uniqueness of the island nor its extraordinary cultural groups. He also wants to possess and use Ellen. She escapes his clutches thinking to live out her life among the mountain people. Instead she finds she cannot stand aside and watch what makes Si'Empra special die. The problem is that, if she takes action, she must also give her life – in more ways than one.
