Jordan Wilkins is a doctor in a rural town in Missouri, where he discovers he has the remarkable ability to heal people in magical ways. While the results amaze him, many wonder if these miracles come from a darker source, which could demand some kind of payback. Jordan, along with his wife and handicapped teenage son, are confronted with frightening opposition, in spite of all the good done by the healings. Others seek to use, and perhaps exploit, his wondrous abilities.
